Imogen Heap – New Album Alert

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on July 12, 2009 by Em Wyllie

Imogen Heap, the brilliant British songstress, is set to release her third album this August. After a long, argues journey through building a studio in her house and recording the whole album within that study, Ellipse is finally ready and being released on August 24th in the UK and August 25th in North America.

Imogen’s new album is a thirteen track homage to her family home which she is now inhabiting again. Every track on the album was recorded in the house and has elements of the houses noises added in to it. It’s an interesting concept and we’re eager to hear how it pans out.

The Big Book Of Who Killed Amanda Palmer is being released this July. However, this first-run only book is being printed in 10,000. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. There’s already a large amount going to Amanda Palmer fans that have pre-ordered in the past with the Who Killed Amanda Palmer album Pre-Order. But once those are gone, the rest goes up for pre-order.

The pre-order starts on Monday, April 20th. The time looks to be around noon EST. Pricing for the book hasn’t quite been announced yet, but I can’t see it being horribly expensive. This is a rare opportunity for Neil Gaiman fans and Amanda Palmer fans alike. The book features photography by many, many brilliant artists. I’ll be sure to post a review when my copy from the Who Killed Amanda Palmer album Pre-Order along with favourite photos and credits for the brilliant photographers.

Anywho, keep an eye on The Shadowbox and Neil Gaiman’s website for more pre-order information. This book is extremely limited so if you want a copy, be sure to pre-order.

UPDATE 04-19-09

The book has been announced for pre-order on Monday, April 20th, 2009 at THIS web address. Pre-order is estimated to start around 12PM EST.

A Dream

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on April 13, 2009 by Em Wyllie

I had a dream last night that sort of put me off center. I wasn’t too pleased to wake up in that, sadly, familiar cold sweat, feeling like someone I cared about had just died. The thing I don’t understand is why the dream upset me so much. Well, that’s kind of a lie… I have an idea.

Hiatus Explanation

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on January 18, 2009 by Em Wyllie

I know. It’s been near two months. The hiatus has come from a couple of different places. I’ve been working on some side projects and have recently come in to a new job as well.

First of all – We’re getting our own domain soon. Right now I’m just trying to get a handle on CSS or find someone who has a good handle on it. If you feel like you want to help, email me!! EmWyllie@gmail.com (payment might be applicable depending on the situation)

Secondly – I’ve been working a new full time management job that is taking up 40+ hours of my week.

Thirdly – Matt Wyllie has a website now! http://www.mattwyllie.com is now up and running.

I’ll try to post more often and will let you guys know when the official new URL goes live.
